How can we make Los Angeles a place where people of all ages have opportunities for play?
The Specifics
We are pleased to announce the two winners who will each receive $100,000 to implement their projects:
This is an open call for ideas. Play in LA means access to clean, safe, and sustainable venues to enjoy the natural environment. It means equal access to the arts and cultural resources. It means opportunities for residents to enjoy our local beaches, waterways, and open space.
How can your idea increase access to vibrant park space in our neighborhoods? To afterschool enrichment programs? For this challenge, we want to discover ideas that will make LA the best place to play today and in 2050. What does play look like? Here are the LA2050 “Play” Metrics:
Access to open space and park facilities
- Number of children enrolled in afterschool programs
- Per capita crime rates
- Percentage of residents that feel safe in their neighborhoods
- Attendance at major league sporting events
- Residents within 1⁄4 mile of a park (Dream Metric)
- Number of residents with easy access to a “vibrant” park (Dream Metric)
- Number of parks with intergenerational play opportunities (Dream Metric)
- Number (and quality) of informal spaces for play (Dream Metric)
Tell us how your idea, project, or program can help Los Angeles become the best place in the world to play.

How do I vote for Richstone?
Great idea, we support the Hollywood Central Park!
I, Doctor Reverend M. Lamonte Taylor a believer in Christ Jesus and has been a believer since 1987. I am now building my administrative church office through the miracle working and the power of the holy spirit. I spend a great deal of time in prayer and meditation of the word of God to reach out to the lost that they to may receive Christ Jesus in their lives as their Lord and Savour
As my organization grow in spiritual heights and finances I plan to develop mini projects to invite people to join my services for development in serving their needs.
Thanks so much.
Blessings To You,
